About Me

Father Mike is fluent in Spanish. If you need your ceremony to be bilingual or completely in Spanish, this can be done with no problem.

El Padre Mike habla Espanol. Si necesita que la ceremonia sea bilingue o copletamente in Espanol, se puede hacer sin problema.

I am a Catholic priest, originally ordained Roman Catholic and now part of the St. Francis Community of Faith for All People in Plainview, NY  https://www.cfapli.net/

Many of the ceremonies at which I officiate are from the Catholic tradition for Catholics who, for a variety of reasons, cannot or choose not to be married in the Roman Catholic Church.  I also officiate at many interfaith ceremonies including Jewish/Catholic ceremonies where I co-officiate with my good friend, Cantor David Katz or with a Rabbi.  Along with my fellow priests, I officiate at wedding ceremonies all over Long Island, in New York City and beyond.

Counseling for couples who are preparing for marriage is not required but is offered for any couples who may wish to avail themselves of this opportunity to explore, with guidance, methods and questions which may help to deepen and strengthen the commitment you are about to make.

I consider myself fortunate to be able to accompany you for a while as you celebrate sacred moments in your life.  I am happy to be with you on our journey and to be available to you whenever you may need me in the future.

I am married and my wife and I are blessed with four daughters and six grandchildren.  I worked in Human Resources for 25 years and was Chief Administrative and Human Resources Officer for Hitachi Metals America. In addition to my ministry I am an Executive Coach, HR Consultant and Life Coach.  I teach and lead several meditation groups. I practice yoga and enjoy morning walks at Sunken Meadow State Park and evening walks with our German Shepherd, Emma 🙂
